Jose was born in Riverside Ca, and grew up in Indio, CA where he attended Coachella High School and the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, where he received an AA in Business. Jose cultivated his industry expertise at the AAA Four Diamond Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage Ca. where he started as an attendant at Sunstone Spa. A regular client suggested he look into becoming a Casino Host, based on the exceptional guest experience Jose provided. That seed was planted and blossomed when Jose applied and was promoted to Casino Host. 'I was 24 and the youngest to hold that position at Agua. It was critical that I learn rapidly, which meant working on my days off and visiting other casinos and talking to their hosts. The Host Program introduced me to so many opportunities that most people only dream about. I stayed at 'The Mansions at MGM' and sat in the 3rd row for the Pacquiao vs. Bradley fight. I enjoy what I do, I work a lot and know that by building positive relationships, good things will come my way.'
Jose is generating a positive impact on our team as well. He is part of the newly established Latino Employee Resource Group. This group has a goal to reach out as mentors internally and externally in a culturally competent manner to address Latino related issues. As a leader in Player Development, Jose has taken the opportunity to improve relationships with our Latino team members and players by being part of the resource group, by speaking on Spanish language radio on River Rock's behalf and by hosting team building events like a bowling party for his coworkers. Hell’s Kitchen Chef Winner At Red Rock Casino Las Vegas

Chef Gordon Ramsay divided the kitchen in two with Virginia given the blue kitchen and Heather received the red kitchen. Each chef designed the entire dining rooms, from colors, lighting, feel and uniforms.
Virginia and Heather remodel each side of their restaurant. Chef Gordon Ramsay tells Heather and Virginia they are going to Red Rock Casino Las Vegas. The contestants and Gordon Ramsay ride to Las Vegas in a stretched hummer limo and discuss how each have done in Hell’s Kitchen. Chef Ramsay’s challenge is for each chef to prepare their signature dish for taste tests. One last customer picks Virginia’s dish for the winner. Gordon Ramsay is seen with Virginia and Heather, it is supposed to be on the roof of Red Rock Casino Las Vegas, but it happens to be on a roof on the Las Vegas Strip. The two contestants receive plane tickets to London and a personal meal with Gordon.
Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas final competition is for both Heather and Virginia to pick teams of the previous eliminated chefs. Heather chose Sara, Rachel and Garrett. Virginia chose Tom, Keith and Giacomo.
Keith told Virginia if she wins that he wants money and wants it in writing. Virginia agrees to give each contestant a $1000 bucks.
When Chef Ramsay walks through Heather’s dining room, he likes everything except for the writing on the walls. Chef Ramsay likes that Virginia got the ambiance correct. Before the dinner service, Chef Ramsay observes that there is more energy in Heather’s kitchen. Heather dishes out faster, but the patrons don’t like the meals. Tom cuts himself and Chef Ramsay has him continue to work.
Virginia and Heather complete their dinner services. Gordon Ramsay tells the chefs that the President of Red Rock Resort Las Vegas, Scott Kreeger, was a mystery diner in the restaurant for both chefs. Scott and his wife enjoyed both of the chef’s creations.
Heather and Virginia are called upstairs of Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas. Chef Ramsay said that one chef had a very slight edge on the customer comment cards. Virginia and Heather are given a both key. Only one would open the winner’s door. Heather becomes the executive chef of T-Bones Chophouse at Red Rock Resort Las Vegas.
